Hi Lisa, We hear ya! Our #1 goal is to bring fiber to every home and business that DMEA serves. But, we also have to balance the realities of time, manpower, and money. More than half of DMEA members now have access to Elevate (yeah!), but that means almost half of you are still waiting. We recognize that's frustrating and appreciate your patience and support. Zone 68. Still waiting. This reminds me of lagging, party-line rural telephone "service" in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, when Ma Bell was finally forced by the SDPUC to upgrade rural lines. Will it take PUC mandates here? Half a century later? Also, any overtures to potential out-of-area customers could not pass the smell test, with existing qualified DMEA customers waiting... and waiting... and waiting to be served.
