I have the same question as Levi posted, sans your router, that part is clear: "10:35am June 22, 2016 Levi Anstine With your equiptment the router specifically, will I be able to setup port forwarding, dmz, black/white lists, wifi security passwords? In general what access do I have for options on the eouter. lf those are not an option is using your router a required part of the contract/service?" Can you have someone contact me about the specific functions of the router available without opting for managed wifi? Or maybe posting a link in the FAQ so others will not have to inquire? Thx, Jim

Just a Huge Big Thank You Here. The Elevate Crew Installed My Internet Today in Austin, Orchard City. All I can say is WOW AND WOW some more. It is so fast no more buffering. I wasn't sure if my computer could handle the speed without blowing up. I want to Thank All of the Elevate Crews and workers and Office Staff for making this happen for us and bring us out of the Dark Ages of what we have lived with for way to long. The Elevate and DMEA Staff and Crews have all been so helpful with every step of the huge project. Again Thanks Ever So much.

Hello Tom, You can preregister by phone at 877-687-3632. That would be the fastest and easiest for you. Thanks for asking. We all want Elevate Fiber so please tell you friends, too!

Hi Richard, I'll connect you directly with our technical team. They are out in the field right now, but I will forward your question to them and have them get in touch with you ASAP. We are using a Calix GigaCenter for our WiFi router. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Where can I direct technical questions? Can you provide a link to the user manuals for the modem/router that you are currently using? Thank You, rt

Hi Ginnette, Great timing! We were just reviewing our list of returned contracts today for Orchard City 104. Yes, she should have received an email with a link to return her service agreement earlier this month. Next week, on Tuesday, we’re sending a reminder email to those who haven’t completed their contract yet. Spread the word and tell people to keep an eye on their inbox. Feel free to have her reach out to me directly at becky.mashburn@dmea.com. I can personally send her the contract link. Or, if she is having trouble with her email, she can always call us at 877-687-3632. Customer service can get her signed up and ready to go as well. Thanks!

This is so exciting and it must be exhilarating in the Elevate Fiber workrooms. We are so happy that Orchard City 104 made it to goal. Cedaredge areas are working to get there. In the meantime, one of our Eckert (OC 104) friends was expecting her contract last week. Any delays or news about those contracts? Or should she call you?

Hi Ivy, Good question. In general, we will install Elevate’s infrastructure to follow DMEA’s power lines. So yes, in many neighborhoods in Montrose the service will be underground. We are using a variety of techniques to do this, including vibratory plowing (check out an example of this here - https://youtu.be/5LHObecYJwU) and horizontal boring (check out an example of this here - https://youtu.be/Am7qi2GNUYo). Our goal is to disturb the landscape as little as possible and we’ll always work to return the property back to the same or better condition when we leave. There will be times when landscaping needs to be removed for safety reasons. For example, some people have planted bushes or put in obstructive landscaping in front of transformers. This is hazardous to our crews when they need to perform maintenance or install equipment. In these cases, the landscaping items won’t be replaced, but we’ll work closely with homeowners to make sure no one is blindsided. Our goal is to provide a much-needed service to our members with as little impact to your yard and landscaping as possible. Thanks!

I'm in Montrose 418, and there might be some hesitation among my neighbors because of questions such as (from NextDoor): "will they be tearing up our yards, boring under our drive-ways, etc. in order to put in all the infrastructure for this project?"

Hey Elevate backers, just wanted to give you all a heads up that we are adjusting some of the individual zone goals. After more in-depth design work and additional financial analysis we are able to refine goals in several zones. So, if you see a big swing in a zone, don't be alarmed, it is just the work that we are doing to ensure that we build out our system as effectively and efficienctly as possible.

Kathy, the system for post cards limits three things: 1. the number of post cards an individual can send 2. the number of post cards any one individual receives and 3. the total dollar amount that Elevate spends of post cards each month. It is very likely that in your area, your neighbors have reached the #2 issue (max number of post cards any individual receives. Sorry, but we will not pass out lists of members who have or have not signed up for our services. In the future, please reach out to me directly rather than continuing to post on here: virginia.harman@dmea.com.

Hello, I just filled in my registration as a residential interest, however, also just found out my job may be on the line if I'm unable to secure a faster speed. Is there a way I can have this 'commercial' interest counted even though I work at home? I'm in Cedaredge BTW. Thanks!

Hi Kim, Good question! The "1 Wifi device connect" means that our installers will help you with the Wifi set up of 1 device. For instance, if you want help connecting your Smart TV to your new internet service, they will help you do that. It does NOT mean that only 1 Wifi device can be connected to the service. Both the 100 mgb and the gig package will support many Wifi devices being connected and used at the same time.

In the Installation Options pdf, it shows that the Basic Installation supports 1 WIFI Device Connect. Does this mean that only one device can connect to the router wirelessly? If not, what does WIFI Device Connect refer to?

Hi Kathy, I'll reach out to you about your dashboard. We've already contacted the website host about the Montrose 721 registration appearing on your dashboard to address that glitch. Thanks for letting us know!

Hi Kathy, You can see that status of Paonia O47 (and all other zones) by clicking on the areas tab above. Right now, Paonia 047 is 67% to goal. As far as when construction begins, it all depends on when your zone hits 100%. It could be early 2017 if your zone stays on track – let’s keep that momentum going! I can’t promise it will be before you move into your new home, because I simply don’t know when it will happen. You can help that percentage grow by using the postcard function on this site to send postcards to your neighbors, sending emails to your contact list, and even sharing this site on your Facebook page.

What is the true status of Area 047? I was told by an Elevate Fiber that we would probably be under construction in early 2017? Is that truly the case? Or now that Orchard City and a Montrose Area look closer to goal will they be first? Have new home under construction and will be moving in approximately 8 weeks from now. Need to make decisions on internet service/phone provider.

Why does orchard city 104 say 99% but -2 needed? It was at 99% and 0 needed last night. Did we make it?

We are so close in Orchard City, but yet so far. . . But I have some questions regarding services. I'm considering have my phone go through Elevate. I currently am using a VOIP service for my home phone. I moved up here a year ago from Denver so my home number is the same as it was in Denver and I want to keep that number which is for the 303 exchange. I've got 35 years of life around that number. Will I be able to keep that number? Next, is it possible to get a static ip rather than dynamic and if so, is there an associated cost with that? And my final question. . . What is the make and model of the router that you are going to be using. I'd like to do a little reading up on it before it gets installed. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. Ken

Jerry, Our goals are set based on electrical meters passed (regardless of what type of account that meter serves). While goals may seem high, they are set at levels that help ensure the financial success of Elevate. This helps protect DMEA members like you, as Elevate is a wholly owned subsidiary of DMEA. As we move through this multi-year deployment, some goals may change as we continue to evaluate the financial impacts of each zone built. I understand how you feel, I personally am in a very rural zone and the goal looks daunting. However, when building a new company with such significant infrastructure needs, we have to take it slow and make sure that we protect our members and build a company that will last.
