Hello Becky. They are installing the cables here on bell creek rd zone 55. They said it would not be long till hooked up. When will we be able to hook up
Becky MashburnCampaign Owner
Hi Robert, I do have good news for the areas we submitted to the grant program – work is underway in Olathe 138, Paonia 55, and Montrose W 741 and we’ll be hooking people up this year. That doesn’t help you out, I know. Please know, we are evaluating any and all grant opportunities and will continue to submit areas for funds. In the meantime, we will also continue to get the word out and build zones as they hit their goals. Thanks for the support!
Becky MashburnCampaign Owner
Hi Tom! You are correct. Our team is working in Orchard City 112 in preparation for that zone getting to goal. We’re seeing movement every week! We’re working hard to get the zone today and would love any help you can provide – emails, visiting neighbors, Facebook posts, carrier pigeons. . . you name it! When a zone gets upward of 80%+ we try to start our make ready construction work so we ready to rock when the zone hits its goal. I hope seeing our crews and energized you and your neighbors! I know the waiting is hard. Thanks for the support.

Been at this address 20+ years , broadband promises over and over!! We at 148 need a grant to get your service!! The goals set are unrealistic, much like other zones on your map! Let's get this going... You got over 2 million in a grant but left out zone 148 and many other deserving zones!! Updates???

Good Afternoon Becky! A question....I see Elevate trucks and activity over here on SE Stonebridge in Cedaredge, which is in Orchard City 112. But....Orchard City 112 is not at goal yet, so why would there be digging and other activity going on? Is this pre-work going on, perhaps getting a jump on things? Thanks for any info you can provide!
Becky MashburnCampaign Owner
Hi Robert, I wish I could give everyone the news they wanted. But no, no new updates on Olathe 148. It has not met its preregistration goal yet. The good news is that Olathe 138 is underway and we've experienced that momentum bleeds over from live zones to areas like yours that are still working to meet their goal. Thanks for the continued support!
Robert Walraven
Any updates on area 148 Olathe?? Hoping the grants would come through for this area?? Saw a new sign on Falcon Road for signing up? Thx Robert
Becky MashburnCampaign Owner
Hi Teri, Adam,
Good news for Paonia 55 (and all our grant zones). We did get the final approval and work has kicked off in all the zones we submitted for grant funding. The timeline for each zone is a little different because each zone was at a different stage when we submitted them to the state for consideration. I've listed our expected timeline below:
Paonia 55: Work on pre-construction is underway (clearing vegetation, prepping poles for fiber, underground construction, etc). We expect to be able install live service in homes this fall.
Olathe 138: Much of the early construction work is complete. We'll be reaching out soon for people in this zone to sign contracts and we expect to be able to install live service in homes in July.
Montrose W. 741: This zone is at a similar stage to Paonia 55. We also expect to install live service this fall.
In the meantime, any help spreading the word is much appreciated! Thanks for the support.

Hi, Nathan! You are correct, there is a limited business build taking place in Delta right now in order to help boost economic development in the community. However, it does not impact the goal for Delta North 175. I’m sorry if there has been any confusion. We will work to bring fiber to all zones – thanks for the support!
Becky MashburnCampaign Owner
Hi Teri,
We are waiting to receive the final signed contract from the state. Unfortunately, we can't start any work until paperwork is in hand. We had hoped to have final word by the end of March, however, there were delays out of our control. We are now hopeful to hear within in the next two weeks. Once, we have the agreement and are able to outline our timeline, we will reach out to all the zones in the grant process. Stay tuned!
Becky MashburnCampaign Owner
Hi, Tom. You are correct. It will recognize that you have already used that email to preregister. Just sign back in with your password and you can preregister your new address. So sorry for the confusion. We have a few safeguards in place that help prevent duplicate preregistrations, but it can make situations like yours a bit more difficult. If you're still having troubles drop me an email at becky.mashburn@dmea.com with your new address and the services you'd like to preregister for and we'll get you taken care of!

Hi Sara. Still won't let me preregister at the new address. Flags email as an error, saying I already have an account. Maybe use a different email?

Adam Ator,
The update as of this morning from our Executive staff that have been involved with the Grant process is that we are still waiting for the State to finalize. We are actively working with the them to finish it and move it along. Once we have the "green light", we will reach out to the zones included in the grant and move forward with building them. So stay tuned!!
Sara McCombsCampaign Owner
Tom Hayden, yes you can preregister for the new address. You will have to type your full address in and register just as before. If you have issues, please call 877-687-3632 and one of our Customer Service Reps. would be glad to help you.

Hi. I just had fiber installed in my home in zone 47. I plan on building a house in zone 55 (at a different address) & would like to preregister, but can't find a way to do that. Is it possible to do so? I don't have power to the building site yet.
Sara McCombsCampaign Owner
Nathan, I sent a response to your email on 3/28/18 on this same question.
Here is my response: I did some looking into your address. Your address falls into a different zone based on the electric feeder that it is fed from which is the Delta North 175 feeder. As we are building our fiber network out we are following our electric infrastructure. Therefore, some addresses are fed from a different electric feeder than others. Please be patient with us as we continue to build out our entire service territory, which approximately 4000 miles of fiber. It is not an easy task to build and we are doing it zone by zone to keep our costs low. We appreciate your support of the project and are anxious to get service to all 27,000 members within our DMEA territory.
The part of H75 Rd you speak of, is fed from the substation that is at our DMEA Read office and is included in the electric feeder of OC104 based on the fiber and electric design. If you have any other questions, please call the office at 877-687-3632 and we can get you with our Outside Plant Manager to explain further. As I said in my email, we appreciate your support and are anxious to get service out to all of our service territory.
Adam Ator
So Becky once you get the paperwork all done dose that mean we’ll move up on the list? Have we already hit 100%? Zone 55? How long we’ll we have to wait once you guys have your documents?
